All About Me
Intro
Hello! I am Olivia Belue a senior at Fort Mill High School. In the fall of 2024 I plan to attend the University of Mississippi and major in Integrated Marketing Communications while specializing in Social Media. In my free time I dance, hang out with friends and stay busy. I hope to become a social media manager in my future.
Goals
I have many goals for myself and plan on setting clear goals that will help me make the most of my college experience. Personally I want to work on trying not to procrastinate and improve my time management skills. Along with my time in college I also want to work on social skills. Such as making lifelong friends or getting involved in as many clubs and activities on campus. Lastly, I plan to set some career-oriented goals, like landing internships or gaining experience in Social Media and Journalism.
Next Steps
In my future I am attending the University of Mississippi also known as Ole Miss. I plan to study integrated marketing communications and specialize in social media. At Ole Miss I am eager to get very involved in all the opportunities given to me. I plan to apply for the Talbert Fellows program and apply to be an ambassador. There are many things I am excited to do in my future along with my career. The career I want to hold is a social media manager.
News Writing & Reporting
I have been an anchor for 3 semesters of high school and have put together some of my best anchor clips.
Emceed for the FMDT invitational in 22 and 23 and have written scripts for the competition both years.
Wrote all my co anchor and I’s script for every show, here's a few examples of my writing.
I have been on the Buzz (school TV show) for 3 years and have anchored for two of them. Here are all the shows I have anchored and produced.
This is a fundraiser for my school dance team. We host a local competition for teams to come compete at and qualify for the state competition. My Junior and Senior year I hosted along side another member of the FMDT. I was responsible for writing the script and hosting the day of. Linked are both of my scripts from each year.
This is a fundraiser for my school dance team. We put on a show called Big Man on Campus a boy pageant, during our homecoming week. The job of the Emcee is to write the script and plan the show. I wrote scripts for BMOC 2022 and 2023 and co-hosted in front of the school for this event. Linked are both scripts from each year.
After spending 3 semesters working my school TV show I have anchored, produced and included a story on 21 episodes. Linked are all episodes from Junior to Senior year.
Video Story Telling
I was always creating videos and projects for each episode of the Buzz or small business' who would reach out. Linked are some of my favorites.
Revealing our Hoco Week themes in a video for 2022. Worked with the Student Council and put together this video.
Revealing our Hoco Week themes in a video for 2023. Worked with the Student Council and put together this video.
Recaping our Hoco Week with all clips filmed by the Buzz staff and I. All the students love finding themselves in the video.
Recapping our Hoco Week with all clips filmed by the Buzz staff and I. This is the best week of the year put together in a video.
One of my first projects in the JV Buzz. Kim and I picked a trending song and made a music video to go along with it.
During teacher appreciation week, we went around school and asked students to thank one of their teachers.
During diversity week, I went around school and asked students to say their name and our mascot. We may not all be the same but we all have one thing in common.
I wrote the song, and filmed this intro for our show that week. Then I had Chase sing it and recorded clips of him.
Spotify Wrapped was out and we did a Man on the Street to hear about my classmates favorite songs.
One of my first attempts at a commercial while on the JV Buzz. Used materials I had in class and created a pencil commercial.
Graphic Design
Studio dance was always a big part of my life, we would always attend the Platinum National Dance Competiton. The competition always had a contest for anyone to design their regional tee shirt. I entered and won this contest twice. Here are the winning designs.
As one of the captains on the dance team, we each had roles. One of mine was designing tee shirts for all of our events. Here is a few.
I have been on Student Council for 3 years and during my time as Publicity Secretary I had the responsibility of designining the tee shirts for our events. Here are a few examples.
Whenever someone at school needed a tee shirt design they knew who to ask. I made lots of designs for clubs or events at Fort Mill and here is a few.

Marketing
I have made many videos helping businesses or fundraisers market and get more people to know about them. Here are some examples of all types of Marketing videos I have created in and out of school.
Campaigning
My sophomore year I decided to run for publicity secretary. I had some tough competition to beat tried to campaign as best as I could and won! Then my Junior Year I planned to re run for the same position. Although I did not win the election this year, I didn't give up and campaigned for senior class president! Here are some marketing skills with all of my campaigning graphics and videos.

SOcial media managment
In my free time I decided to help out some members of my community with enhancing their social media. I worked with a travel agent, local fitness instructor, an online furniture boutique and a women's clothing boutique. I also was publicity secretary for FMHS my junior year where my main job was running the social media.
Page 6 Boutique
I started off just wanting to work at Page 6 Boutqiue yet then it began to show me what I wanted to do for a career. I made countless reels for their TikTok accounts and Instagram. I made designs for the website , created logos and graphics for the Instagram stories. Here are a few examples of the reels.
TikTok Links
Excel Fit with Molly
Molly works and trains ages 12-60 on their fitness and help. She reached out to me to help make her graphics to get her information out there. After we began adding reels to the mix to keep her content fresh. You can see a few examples of my graphics linked are some reels I have created for Molly.
Workout Reel
Cove Lane
Working at Page 6 Boutique gave me many connections with businesses and companies that were looking to enhance their social media. I got a job with Cove Lane home decor helping with her TikTok page. She knows how to work Instagram but needed guidance on TikToks. I have made all videos on her TikTok page and we are slowly gaining views and a following. Linked is her TikTok page with all videos I have made of her home decor.
Journeys Travel
Once I reached out to help community members with their social media I got a request from Travel by Anna, who is run by Journeys Travel. Anna and I had an instant connection. We met later that week and got right to work. In the short amount of time I have worked for her so far, I have created reels for her company. Linked are some examples of my work.
FM Stuco
I had been a member of Student Council for a year now and I wanted to run for role. I was starting to enjoy graphic deign and social media so I decided to run for publicity secretary. I ran for the position and won! Through the year I was in charge of making lots of graphics for the student council. Here are a few examples of graphics I made, and linked is the Stuco Instagram I managed from May of 2022-June of 2023
Leadership
Throughout my four years in high school I have been a member of the Fort Mill Dance Team, The Buzz (FMHS TV show) and the Fort Mill Student Council. Throughout I have accumulated leadership opportunities and gained lots of experience leading teams such as:
Linked below are letters of recommendation from all advisors who gave me a place to lead.
To whom it may concern,
It is my pleasure to write on behalf of Olivia Belue, a senior at Fort Mill High School in Fort Mill,
SC. I have known Olivia for three years, and I find her to be an extremely hard-working and self-motivated
student. Her self-awareness is truly striking and rare in a student of her age. I had Olivia previously in my
English 4 Honors course. I am currently Olivia’s advisor for Student Council, where she is currently Senior
Class President.
Olivia is outspoken and forthright; she is the student in class and in Student Council who will stand
up and take charge as a leader without being asked. She is not afraid to speak up and share her beliefs, which
are often rooted in detailed research and thought. In fact, one of the things I genuinely enjoy about Olivia as
a student is how she unashamedly shares her beliefs. This has led to her being successful as an executive
member of the Fort Mill High School student council. She has pushed the members of Student Council to
create and develop events for the student body. She is a wonderful representative of those she has been
elected to serve.
In her previous role as the Student Council Publicity Secretary, she curated graphics and videos to
promote student events. She then effectively used the school's social media platforms to engage with the
student body. She also designed multiple t-shirts to be used for events like Spirit Week and Pageant. These
shirts received positive feedback from multiple stakeholders. She uses her position on The Buzz TV
production to effectively create and promote student events.
Olivia is a perfect candidate for any program or scholarship. Please contact me if you have any
questions or would like additional information about Olivia.
Sincerely,
Stewart Ruddy
